RS is specifically designed to have a very fast setting time. It is an ideal binder for all surface dressing and spray applications where the road has to be opened for traffic very fast. Rapid setting emulsions are characterized by rapid deposition of binders on contact with road surfaces and aggregates and results in early resistance to rain. A rapid setting emulsion has reduced ability to mix with aggregates but is ideal for coating applications.
